Fear can easily shape our thoughts, weaken our resolve, and distract us from the work God has called us to do. This Sunday, Rev. Dr. Paul Cunningham continues our Nehemiah series with a message titled "Look Inside," based on Nehemiah 4:10-23. As Nehemiah and the people face opposition, threats, and growing uncertainty, they are forced to confront their fears while remaining committed to rebuilding Jerusalem’s walls. Their story invites us to consider the fears we carry, recognize how they influence us, and remember that God remains present and faithful. Join us as we learn to look inside and continue forward with courage and trust in God.

Sermon Questions

1. If you have been spending too much time in the “house of fear” lately, what can you do this week to choose the “house of love”?

2. Is there someone you can share your “anxiety or fears” with so that you don’t feel isolated or alone?

We want to connect with you! Email Pastor Chad at chadf@ljpres.org to get plugged in, or you can find our website at ljpres.org/connect. We hope to see lives transformed by a relationship with Jesus, and we strive to be a place where you experience and are able to express that transforming love of Christ.

It builds our faith to help give back a portion of what God has given us. If you would like to help further His work in La Jolla, San Diego and the world you can give online at LJPres.org/Donate.
