Dealing With Drought and Doubt - Sermon for September 22nd, 2024
Dealing With Drought and Doubt - This Sunday Pastor Paul continues our sermon series, "Cultivate: Lessons from the Land," with a sermon titled "Dealing With Drought and Doubt," based on Psalm 126. This psalm reflects on a time of past deliverance and expresses a longing for renewal, likening the restoration of Zion to streams refreshing the Negev — a desert transformed by water. Pastor Paul offers insights on how to cultivate resilience and faith during hard times, ensuring that when the rains do come, our roots are deep and ready to absorb every drop of blessing.
Sermon Questions:
How honest are you with God when you pray? Do you believe Jesus can handle your doubts?
Psalm 126 looks back and remembers God’s faithfulness as a way to encourage people in their faith. Can you remember a time God brought “restoring rains” to your soul? How did that make you feel? How does that encourage you today?
