Seeing Through The Trees - Sermon for June 9th, 2024
Seeing Through The Trees - Join us this Sunday for the second sermon in our "Look Around" series, featuring guest preachers Pastors Jere Lester and Noel Musicha from Ebenezer Church in Linda Vista. Their sermon, “Seeing Through The Trees,” will consider Luke 19:1-10, the story of Zacchaeus, a man who climbed a tree to see Jesus but ended up being truly seen by Him. In this passage, Zacchaeus, a tax collector despised by his community, goes to great lengths to catch a glimpse of Jesus. However, it's Jesus who notices Zacchaeus in the tree and chooses to engage with him, demonstrating a profound act of recognition and acceptance. This story beautifully illustrates how Jesus looks beyond social status and surface appearances to see the heart of an individual.
We want to connect with you! Email Pastor Chad at chadf@ljpres.org to get plugged in or you can find our website at ljpres.org/connect. We hope to see lives transformed by a relationship with Jesus, and we strive to be a place where you experience and are able to express that transforming love of Christ.
It builds our faith to help give back a portion of what God has given us. If you would like to help further His work in La Jolla, San Diego and the world you can give online at LJPres.org/Donate.
